We provide sports data analytics products and services to generate insights and inform personalised strategies to optimise athletes’ training and recovery (the“Services”).

  • Personal health information (PHI) is stored in secure Google Drive folders encrypted by passwords. Access is restricted to the practitioner team and the subject through an encrypted password manager.

  • All team email accounts are secured with strong passwords and two-factor authentication. Passwords and emails are scanned monthly for exposure.

  • In case of a data breach, affected individuals will be notified within 72 h of discovery via email at privacy@podiumscience.com.

RETENTION POLICY

  • Personal data will be kept for the duration of the contract or until you revoke your consent for marketing, when applicable.

  • Personal (date of birth, sex, height, and weight) and health (metrics collected and used for our services) data will be anonymised within one year of the contract’s conclusion, unless:

    • The subject objects to its anonymised use in research, or

    • Legal obligations require retention.

  • Data will otherwise be retained in accordance with our Retention and Erasure Policy, a copy of which can be request at privacy@podiumscience.com.

DATA SHARING

We do not sell personal data to third parties. Data may be shared under these circumstances:

  • Practitioners: If deemed necessary during our provision of the Services to you, personal and health data may be shared with practitioners, who follow the same security and privacy policies as PODIUM SCIENCE.

  • Payment Processors: Financial details are processed in compliance with UK law.

  • Internal Access: Data may be shared with authorised departments or persons within our company, including any subsidiary or holding company, as defined under sections 7 and 8 of the Companies Act 2014.
